EMDR
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. The 'bi-lateral' stimulation that occurs during eye-movements can be simulated via TAPPING.
EMDR is especially suited to help you to process the psychological symptoms caused by traumatic experiences that can lead to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or Post Traumatic Stress Reaction (PTSR). Symptoms may include hyper-vigilance, acute anxiety, nightmares, flashbacks, sleep disturbance or preoccupations with past, unpleasant events.
EMDR is often part of a broader psychotherapy, but it can sometimes be used independently as a technique to help you to process difficult past events.
